FIRST Scholarship Application

Scholarship Description

In support of the FIRST^® mission, South Dakota Mines is offering two merit-based scholarships, each for $1,000, to high school seniors who have participated on a FIRST^® team during their school career. This scholarship may be utilized for any undergraduate course of study at South Dakota Mines.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

· Be a senior in high school

· Have participated on a FIRST^® Robotics Competition (FRC^®) team or a FIRST^® Tech Challenge (FTC^®) team.

· Apply and be admitted to South Dakota Mines as a full-time student by February 15.

· Have a composite ACT score of at least 27 and a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 (on a scale of 4.0).

Additional Materials

Please include one letter of recommendation from one of your FIRST^® adult mentors, confirming your participation in the FIRST^®Program. Additional letters of support will not be considered.
