Experience Mines for Yourself

We offer personalized campus tours Monday–Friday, year round. Expect to be on campus between 2.5–3.5 hours, depending on your selections.

During Your Visit

Campus tour led by a current student ambassador
Admissions and scholarship overview
Optional meetings with faculty (based on availability)
Time to explore labs, facilities, and student spaces

Visit & Event Updates

Spring break takes place between March 16-20, 2026. While we are operating tours, some departments may have limited availability and are not guaranteed.

Campus visits and events are proceeding as scheduled. If conditions change due to weather or other circumstances, we’ll provide updates here as soon as possible.

Personal Campus Visits

Experience South Dakota Mines in person by exploring campus, connecting with students, and learning more about academics and opportunities.

Virtual Visits

Connect with an admissions counselor from anywhere. Virtual visits are a great option if you’re unable to travel to campus.
