    Attend an open house

If you're just starting your college search and unsure of what you want to study precisely, an open house is a great tool to discover our campus and degree programs.

    Request a High School Visit

Are you a high school counselor or teacher who would like Ashli to set up a Zoom meeting or an in-person visit with a group of future Hardrockers?

    Visit our campus in person

Our visit options are engineered just for you, whether you're ready to explore South Dakota Mines in person, or want to see South Dakota Mines from the comfort of home.

    I'm accepted for 2023...now what?

Keep an eye on your New Student Checklist!!

Beginning in November, high school seniors accepted to South Dakota Mines will have an online checklist to help them prepare for their first semester on campus.

From the checklist, students will activate important accounts including their new Hardrocker email - campus offices will start using it right away to share information and updates.

February 1st: Students will be able to fill out a survey which will let the Registrar's Office know to create their fall semester schedule.

February 13th:  The housing application opens for fall housing--be sure to have your housing deposit ready to save your place in line for housing style preference.
